Into the Beta with PSP7
August 11, 2000
Jasc has forged ahead into new frontiers....
While the program is still in beta testing, it's well worth your
time to check it out, even with the normal beta bugs that you'll
find. If you're squeamish about program crashes or frustrated
by features that don't work properly then I'd suggest you wait
for the release version. On the other hand, if you're
adventurous, don't hesitate to grab your copy of the beta.
Paint Shop Pro 7 is a stoke of genius on the part of Jasc Software.
Who would have thought they could find any more features to add, or
have improved on the existing features... but they did! Just take a
quick look at what's new...
Victory with Vectors; or How to Create Curved Text with PSP7
November 3, 2000
Creating vector text can be as
simple or as complicated as you
want to make it. For most of us,
creating text on a path and fitting
existing text to a path is all we'll

Slicing and Dicing with PSP 7
October 6, 2000
Slicing images up into sections
for placement in a table has
been the webdevelopers bane
since it was first discovered that
cool designs could be created
with tables, and images would
load faster if they were cut up
into smaller pieces. Definitely not
a fun time, but Jasc has come to
the rescue with it's latest release
of Paint Shop Pro! PSP7
includes several new web
features, one of which is a slicer
that handles the job very well.
Into the Shadows
October 26, 2000
Isn't a shadow on a graphic, just ... well, a
shadow? Not even close. There are so many
varieties of shadows that we will not even be
able to cover them in this tutorial. I will be
leaving one whole class of shadows, the
perspective shadow to a second article. We will
spend this whole time talking about ... plain old
shadows.
