1. Create a new 16 million colors image with white background.
2. Type the text (Floating, and Antialias must be unchecked). Note: The larger to font is the more texture will be seen.
3. Press Shift-V and go to: Image/Special Effects/Chisel.
4. Apply Chisel to the text with these settings: Background: Transparent, Size: 20.

Press Shift+V again to reverse the selected area back to the text.
5. Apply cutout to the text with these settings:
Vertical, and Horizontal = Negative Three (-3)
Opacity 255, Blur 36, Shadow Red, no Interior Color.
Note: Apply the cutout twice!

6. Go to: Colors/Negative Image (Apply it).

7. Apply these Settings for Greg's Factory Outlet Metal Effects Filter:
Level Offset: 247. Wave Scale: 255.
Note: Leave all others alone (Don't Change Them).
8. Now save it...you can save it as a Transparent GIF, and use it on your WEB Page.

Note: Applying a hotwax coating prior to adding the metal effect filter creates more detail in the 'stone'. lbc
