Create Frames for your graphics!


1. Open a new window .
frame1 2. Using the SELECTION tool, 'select' an area in the window where you would like your frame to be.
3. Click on IMAGE/SPECIAL EFFECTS/ADD DROP SHADOW
4. Set the ATTRIBUTES to the color you want your frame to be.
5. Set the ATTRIBUTES OPACITY to 255
6. Set the ATTRIBUTES BLUR to 36
frame 2 7. Set the HORIZONTAL OFFSET to zero
8. Set the VERTICAL OFFSET to zero
9. Click ok
10. Right click on the image window to clear the selection, leaving the first layer of your new frame.
11. Using the MAGIC WAND, TOLERANCE set to 1, FEATHER set to 0, click on the window (Be sure to click on the outside of your "frame."
12. On the menu bar click SELECTIONS/INVERT
13. Click on IMAGE/SPECIAL EFFECTS/ADD DROP SHADOW
14. Set the ATTRIBUTES to the color you want your frame to be.
15. Set the ATTRIBUTES OPACITY to 255
16. Set the ATTRIBUTES BLUR to 36
frame 3 17. Set the HORIZONTAL OFFSET to zero
18. Set the VERTICAL OFFSET to zero
19. Click ok
20. Right click on the image window to clear the selection, leaving the second layer of your new frame.

frame 4 Repeat steps 11 thru 20 to add as many 'layers' to your frame as you would like.

Add a special effect!

1. Using the MAGIC WAND, click inside your new frame.
frame 5 2. Choose a foreground and background color that compliment your frame.
3. Click on the FLOOD FILL tool.
4. Set the FILL STYLE on the Flood Fill to the GRADIENT of your choice, and adjust the TOLERANCE to suit your tastes.
5. "Fill" the interior of your frame.

frame 6 6. Add Text for your own title banner!

Frame an existing graphic

1. Open a graphic. frame 7
2. Chose the color you want your border to be and set it as the background color.
3. Select IMAGE/ADD BORDER
4. Set the border to SYMMETRIC, 50,50,50,50
5. Click ok

6. . Using the MAGIC WAND, click outside your graphic, on the border, between the image and the window edge.
7. Select SELECTION/INVERT
8. Follow steps 13 through 20 above.
frame 9 9. Repeat until your frame is the size you want.

frame10 10. Using the MAGIC WAND, select the area outside your frame
11. Select SELECTIONS/INVERT
12.Select IMAGE/CROP
13. Save As, making sure to set the transparency option so that your corners will be transparent.

frame 11a If you don't click the SELECT/INVERT when adding the DROP SHADOWS, this is the effect you get....
